International Relations Department

The main tasks and activities of the UWED in the field of foreign policy and foreign economic activity:

• ensuring high quality training of international specialists in the field of foreign policy and foreign economic activity of the republic based on the use of advanced foreign experience, including modern innovative, pedagogical technologies and scientific developments, effective coordination of the activities of educational and research institutions of the country in this direction;
• creation of an effective system of retraining and advanced training of international personnel in order to form a constantly updated promising personnel reserve of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other relevant ministries and departments;
• a radical increase in the efficiency of fundamental and applied research aimed at developing predictive estimates and prospects for the development of international relations, cooperation with foreign partners, foreign policy and foreign economic activity of the country;
• implementation of academic mobility programs, which provide for the direction of leading lecturers, scientists and promising young teachers for short-term (semester) internships in leading foreign educational institutions and research centers, their involvement in various forms of academic mobility - the exchange and internships of specialists and scientists, participation in foreign conferences and seminars, joint research with foreign partners, etc.;
• development of a list of domestic and foreign analytical centers and educational institutions, and preparation on this basis of plans and programs for retraining and advanced training on their basis of the teaching staff of the University;
• organization using modern methods and means of training highly qualified professional translators and guides, designed to provide support for official events and delegations of foreign countries at the highest and high levels.
