    UWED representatives took part in a working meeting on the Erasmus+ HWCA project

    From November 17 to 21, 2024, a working meeting of coordinators and experts of the Erasmus+ HWCA project (Higher Education in Water Sector for Climate Resilience and Security in Central Asia) was held at the Kazakh-German University (DKU) in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

    The event was attended by representatives of partner organizations from Europe and Central Asia, including Dean of the Faculty of International Economics and Management at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Mirzumid Khamdamov and Associate Professor of the Department of International Economics Suriya Torayeva.

    During the meeting, participants discussed key activities under the following work packages:

     • WP2: Development of new curricula in the areas of “Water Resources Management” and “Water Diplomacy”.

    • WP3: Improving the qualifications of teachers and introducing modern teaching methods;

    • WP4: Improving the level of English proficiency among teachers and students;

    • WP5: Development of a regional program for continuous professional development and scientific research;

    • WP6: Dissemination of information about the project and organization of academic mobility programs.

    The meeting also addressed the preparation of a memorandum of understanding between European and Central Asian partners of the project.
