On July 8 of this year, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodyq Safev held a meeting with the members of the group headed by the Chairman of the “France-Central Asia” inter-parliamentary group Hervé Morey. During the conversation, Uzbek-French relations, including the current state of bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation and prospects for its further development, were discussed.

At the beginning of the conversation, E. Morrey emphasized that France is striving to strengthen cooperation in the field of parliamentary diplomacy with the countries of Central Asia, and emphasized that Uzbekistan occupies an important place in the priorities of France’s foreign policy. During the meeting, the preparation process for the presidential election, which is being organized ahead of schedule, was explained in detail to the group of international observers. At the same time, information was provided on the actions taken in this regard, the measures being taken to conduct the election in an open and fair manner.
