A meeting was held at UWED with a representative of the International Institute of Water Resources Management
On August 12 of this year, at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, a meeting was held with the representative of the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) in Uzbekistan, Barbara Janusz-Pavletta.
First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Akram Umarov discussed with a representative of IWMI the possibilities of cooperation in the field of promoting water diplomacy and related educational initiatives.
The parties emphasized the importance of education and building research capacity in this area. The issue of developing specialized training programs and academic courses designed to equip future employees of foreign policy and foreign economic structures with the necessary skills and knowledge to solve complex problems related to the use of water resources is considered.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue further dialogue and create the basis for ongoing cooperation in the field of education and research aimed at finding ways for an integrated and sustainable approach to regional water diplomacy in Central Asia.
