On March 19, 2025, at 11:40 AM, a lecture was held at SOK by Associate Professor of the Department of Japanese History and Culture at the School of Japanese Studies, Aichi Prefecture University, Doctor of Law Aziz Ismatov, on the topic: "What is the trajectory of legal development in Asia? Where we were and where we are moving."

During the lecture, key aspects of political, economic, and legal transformations in Asia were highlighted. Particular attention was paid to post-socialism issues, as well as the analysis of various countries' historical experiences to deepen the understanding of current processes in the region.

Dr. Ismatov provided examples from various legal systems, focusing on the transition from a planned economy to a market economy, the differences between socialist legality and the rule of law, as well as judicial reforms. Throughout the event, students actively asked questions, contributing to a lively and engaging discussion of the topics raised.
