A joint online meeting was held under the title “Navruz – common history and future”
On April 2, 2024, a joint online meeting was held under the title “Navruz – common history and future” as part of cooperation programs between students of the academic lyceum of the World Economy and Diplomacy University and the School of the Republic of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy named after Mirzo Ulugbek, which was established by Uzbekistan in the Fuzuli district of Korabog.
In this meeting, students gained interesting information about the strong friendship ties and brotherhood between Azerbaijani and Uzbek peoples reaching back to ancient times, as well as the cultural, linguistic, traditional solidarity between the two nations over centuries.
Additionally, UWED academic lyceum students provided information to their Azerbaijani counterparts about Navruz holiday, sumalak, ko‘ksomsa, halim and other spring dishes, as well as sports games like ko'pkari. In turn, Azerbaijani students shared information about their traditions such as celebrating Navruz with dancing around a fire and jumping over it or rooster fightings.
