On April 3 of the this year, a delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Uzbekistan, Ahmed Farooq, visited the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

The guests were welcomed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and the Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Sodyq Safoev.

During the meeting, the prospects of collaboration between the Institute of Advanced International Studies at the UWED and leading analytical centers and universities of the Republic of Pakistan were discussed. The topics included the organization of joint educational programs, cooperation between diplomatic academies, and an agreement was reached on conducting guest lectures and assisting in strengthening the teaching of the Urdu language at the UWED.

Rector of the UWED S.Safoev, emphasized the importance of student and faculty exchanges for enriching educational experiences and expressed gratitude for the visit to the university.

Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, A. Farooq, in turn, thanked for the warm reception and expressed hope for productive collaboration in the future.
