From February 21 to March 14 of this year, a delegation of Japanese students consisting of 10 people visited UWED as part of cooperation between the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) and the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (Japan).

Students from leading Japanese universities such as Waseda University, Hokkaido University and the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies took a Russian language course. In turn, UWED students studying Japanese introduced the guests to the culture and traditions of the Uzbek people, and also held a master class on cooking national dishes of Uzbekistan.

The UWED Department of Oriental Languages organized a rich cultural program, including excursions to historical sights and museums of Tashkent.

For UWED students, this format of cooperation is an important part of the educational process and provides an excellent opportunity to practice spoken language, as well as expand their knowledge of Japan in general.
