The student theater studio of UWED has staged and performed the play “Eugene Onegin”
Effective organization of students' extracurricular time, involving them in various interest groups, is of great importance in attracting young people, since all parties do not take into account personal qualities. Within the framework of the five initiatives put forward by our President Sh.M. Mirziyoyev, special attention is paid to the interest of young people in music, painting, literature, theater and other types of art, revealing their talents.
In particular, on December 21 of this year, the student creative theater studio "Diplomat" at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy staged and showed the play "Eugene Onegin" by A.S. Pushkin. The classic masterpiece of Russian literature was written in English. This creative theater studio was organized by professors and teachers of the English Department, the Faculty of International Economics and Management. The theater team has been participating in competitions among students of creative theater studios of higher educational institutions of the republic for several years and takes honorable places.
The event was attended by Shohida Shakirova, the head of the Five Important Initiatives Center, all the faculty of the English Department and UWED students. This performance was organized with the aim of educating students in the spirit of love for art and guiding their spiritual maturity, creating conditions for the realization of talented youth. The performance made a great impression on those present. In particular, the students masterfully played their role, causing the fruitfulness of their peers. A special award is the performance of this masterpiece by students on stage in English.
It should be noted that theater studios operating at higher educational institutions play a major role in the consistent implementation of state youth policy aimed at ensuring active participation in large-scale reforms being implemented in our country, raising a healthy and comprehensively developed generation with low spirituality, independent and free-thinking, comprehensively mastering the achievements of modern science.
