On November 6, 2024, an online meeting was held between professors and teachers of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and employees of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Representatives of the departments "International Finance and Investments", "International Economy", "International Law and Public Law", "Civil Law and International Private Law", Embassy employee Sherzod Khasanov from the diplomatic mission took part in the event.

At the meeting, opportunities for cooperation on a wide range of issues of interest to the parties were discussed. Special attention was paid to expanding the cooperation between UWED and German higher education institutions, in particular, cooperation within the framework of the cooperation memorandum signed with the University of Bremen and Alexander Friedrich University. The importance of conducting joint seminars, conferences and workshops with the participation of famous professors and university teachers in Germany is being considered.

During the discussion, the possibilities of regular cooperation between diplomats working in Germany, professors and teachers and students of UWED were considered.

The meeting was organized as part of the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures for systemic reform of the activities of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy” dated July 23, 2022 No. PP-330 in terms of implementing cooperation with diplomatic missions of our country abroad.

At the end of the meeting, the participants emphasized the importance of this event and reached an agreement on further strengthening of cooperation between UWED and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany. Such meetings create a basis for the development of scientific, educational and cultural relations between the two countries.
