On December 4th, 2024, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted an event designed to foster awareness of emerging crime typologies while concurrently refining proficiency in the English language.

Within the framework of the event, organized by the Department of English Language, second-year students prepared posters, brochures, and leaflets containing information about such types of crimes as bribery, money laundering, embezzlement, identity theft, fraud, phishing, and pretexting. These prepared informational materials, meticulously composed in English, explained the aforementioned crimes and highlighted the governmental entities tasked with combating such illicit activities. Furthermore, the students presented statistical data and provided astute recommendations to empower citizens to safeguard themselves from falling victim to these nefarious schemes.

The best teams were selected among the participants, whose representatives received gifts provided by the US Embassy in Tashkent.

The event contributed not only to deepening the students' knowledge of various types of crimes and measures to combat them but also motivated them to study legal terms in English more actively.
