On February 14, 2025, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a meeting with a delegation from Ibn Haldun University (Turkey), led by Professor Dr. Y. Sari and the coordinator of the Haydar Aliyev Eurasian Research Center, Ch. Bekir.

From UWED, the meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation G. Ismailova, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Sh. Arapov, Head of the Chair of Civil Law and Private International Law Sh. Masadikov, as well as representatives of the International Academic Cooperation Office.

During the meeting, prospective areas of collaboration with Turkish colleagues were discussed, including student exchange within the Erasmus+ program, the organization of a summer school, the publication of joint scientific articles, as well as the implementation of seminars and training sessions to enhance the qualifications of faculty members.

Additionally, both sides expressed interest in developing a joint master’s program in International Law and International Relations. Representatives of Ibn Haldun University also highlighted the strong interest of their students and researchers in topics related to Uzbekistan and expressed their willingness to organize presentations of their books and academic works on these subjects at UWED.

At the end of the negotiations, both parties expressed mutual interest in strengthening their partnership and agreed to launch joint initiatives aimed at expanding academic and scientific cooperation.
