    On April 23, 2025, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a meeting between Sodyq Safoev, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Rector of UWED, and a delegation from the Indian educational organization “MERI Group of Institutions,” headed by Vice President, Professor Lalit Aggarwal. The Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan, Ms.Smita Pant, also participated in the event.

    The parties discussed prospects for cooperation, including the launch of a new master’s degree program in “Management” at the Diplomatic Academy of UWED, aligned with international education standards.

    During the meeting, a Memorandum and an Agreement of Cooperation were signed, and the academic curriculum for the upcoming academic year was approved. The agreements create new opportunities to enhance the quality of education for students of the Diplomatic Academy, engage top specialists from leading Indian institutions, and promote the exchange of academic knowledge and access to MERI’s educational resources.

    Both sides affirmed their commitment to further strengthening the partnership and expanding mutually beneficial collaboration.
