On April 22 of this year, at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, on the initiative of the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Affairs of the UWED O. Yusupjanov, together with the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a master class on “Crimes against public safety” was held for 2nd-year students of the Faculty of International Law by the head of the Criminal Law Department of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Doctor of Law, Professor, Lieutenant Colonel M. Kalandarov.

During the master class, Professor M. Kalandarov provided detailed information on the causes of modern crimes that pose a threat to public safety, their legal consequences, as well as current issues in combating such crimes. The relationship between international law and national legislation, as well as the importance of international cooperation in this area, were also emphasized.

The lesson was conducted in an interactive format. The students actively asked questions of interest to them and received the necessary answers from the professor. During the discussions, an exchange of opinions took place on important aspects of ensuring public safety, as well as the role and responsibility of young people in this matter.

The Leadership of UWED noted that such events are important for strengthening the theoretical knowledge of students, developing their legal thinking, and creating opportunities for direct communication with industry experts. The university plans to continue cooperation with law enforcement agencies and regularly organize such useful meetings for students.
