UWED discussed obligations resulting from causing harm in the civil law system of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On April 16 of this year a master class on the topic “Obligations due to damage in the civil law system of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
The master class was attended by Sarvar Zafarovich Tojiboyev, a lecturer at the Department of Civil Law of the Tashkent State Law University, members of the Department of Civil Law and International Private Law Disciplines, as well as 2nd year students of the Faculty of International Law.
During the master class a teacher of the Tashkent State Law University discussed in detail the concept and essence of unilateral obligations in civil law, the concept and elements of tort obligations, the procedure for compensation for harm caused to the life or health of a citizen, as well as the peculiarities of compensation for material and moral damage caused as a result of defects in goods, works and services.
This master class is in line with Sustainable Development Goal 16 – “Promote peaceful and inclusive societies, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and participatory institutions at all levels” in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular paragraph 16.3 – “Promote the rule of law and ensure equal access to justice for all”.
At the end of the master class were discussed current issues of improving the main institutions of civil law in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
