A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and the NIPPON FOUNDATION
On February 9 this year, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) hosted the ceremony of signing a MOU on granting the University of World Economy and Diplomacy by the NIPPON FOUNDATION (Japan) on a donation of educational and research books for a comprehensive study of Japan and Japanese society.
Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy S. Safoev welcomed the participants of the meeting and thanked the Chairman of the Japan Science Society Masayuki Takahashi and the President of NIPPON FOUNDATION Mr. Takeju Ogata for their active cooperation with UWED. In particular, he noted that the bilateral signing of an agreement on the supply of new literature to the UWED library fund will contribute to the formation of a high-quality book fund that meets reader needs.
Then the chairman of the Japan Science Society, Mr. Takahashi, expressed hope for friendship between Japan and Uzbekistan and noted that: “Book donation is a great opportunity to deepen mutual understanding and friendship between Uzbekistan and Japan.”
President of the NIPPON FOUNDATION Takeju Ogata, in turn, mentioned that he firmly believes in bilateral cooperation with UWED aimed at education and human development.
The parties pointed out that the implementation of projects in the field of science and education between Uzbekistan and Japan will further deepen cooperation between the two countries in the field of science, cultural, humanitarian and higher education.
