On April 26 of this year, a delegation from the Kingdom of the Netherlands headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of this country to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Nico Schermers, visited the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

The Ambassador met with the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Rector of UWED, Sodyq Safoev.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the prospects of multifaceted relations between the two countries, including in the field of science and education.

Informing about the plans to open a diplomatic mission of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Tashkent, the Ambassador noted that this event is considered as a strategic step that will strengthen political, economic, and cultural ties between the countries.

         Following the meeting with members of the Dutch delegation, a lecture on “European Diplomacy” took place. Students participated in the discussion and received answers to their questions.
