UWED Team participates in Jessup Moot National Rounds

On February 14-17 of this year the national rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition – 2025 were held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
The UWED Jessup team, consisting of International law faculty students Mehriniso Jumanazarova, Madinabonu Karimkulova, Gulbakhar Jalgasbaeva, and Sevinch Ismailova, took part in this prestigious competition. The team was coached by Dr. Surayyo Usmanova, Associate Professor of the department of "International Law and Public Law Disciplines".
As part of the national rounds, UWED team competed with teams from Tashkent State Law University, Westminster International University, and the Law Enforcement Academy. Also held friendly matches with universities in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is the largest and most prestigious competition in the field of international law, with more than 700 university teams participating from about 100 countries. The competition enables participants to gain practical experience in the field of international law, developing legal researching skills and advocacy skills while diving into depths of contemporary problems in the field of international law.
