UWED student took part in an event organized by the OSCE as a representative of Uzbekistan

On April 8, 2025, an international panel discussion was held within the framework of the WIN initiative: Women and Men Innovating and Networking for Gender Equality.
Otabek Turgunboev, a 3rd-year student of the Faculty of International Law at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, actively participated in this international event as a representative of Uzbekistan.
Among the guests of honor were Toivo Klaar, Ambassador of the European Union to Uzbekistan, Ambassador Antti Karttunen, Head of the OSCE Project Coordinator's Office in Uzbekistan, and Lara Scarpitta, Senior Gender Adviser at the OSCE Secretariat in Vienna.
The event, organized under the title "Young Women 4 Peace Initiative: Empowering Central Asian Young Women", brought together young women leaders from Central Asia, international experts and representatives of the diplomatic corps. The panel discussion was devoted to the theme “Strengthening Young Women’s Networks: Strengthening Cooperation towards Peace and Security in Central Asia”. The WIN initiative aims to advance gender equality through cooperation, innovation and networking between men and women.
