A round table on the topic “Transition to Sustainability: Environmental Protection and the Development of a "Green" Economy in the Modern World” was held at UWED

On March 1 of 2025 year, a scientific and practical roundtable discussion was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy with the participation of young scientists on the topic “Transition to Sustainability: Environmental Protection and the Development of a "Green" Economy in the Modern World”.
This conference, organized on the initiative of the Student Scientific Community and the UWED Eco-Club, was devoted to the issues of sustainable development, environmental protection and green economy.
The conference was opened by the First Vice Rector for Youth Issues and Spiritual and Educational Affairs of UWED Odil Yusupdjanov. The event also featured welcoming speeches by the Dean of the Faculty of International Economics and Management Mirzoumid Khamdamov, Chairman of the Student Scientific Society Komronbek Alisherov and the Coordinator of the Eco-Club Shakhruz Gulmetov.
The conference was divided into two main sessions, during which experts and young researchers presented their scientific reports. At the end of the sessions, the participants exchanged views on sustainable development, transition to a green economy, environmental policy and the use of sustainable energy sources.
At the end of the event, the most active participants were awarded the "Best Speaker" nomination and certificates.
This conference provided an opportunity for young scientists, student researchers and specialists to exchange scientific experience and hold relevant discussions on sustainable economics and the environment. Valuable feedback was received on the development of a green economy and environmental protection. Based on the results of the conference, a collection of scientific abstracts is planned to be published.
