    On January 29, 2025, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) held an online meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to China, Farhod Nuritdinovich Arziyev.

    The event was attended by UWED’s First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, A. Umarov, faculty deans, as well as representatives of departments and structural divisions of the university.

    During the discussion, the Ambassador highlighted the dynamic development of Uzbekistan-China relations, particularly in the field of education. He spoke about plans to expand academic cooperation between the universities of both countries and emphasized the importance of creating platforms for knowledge and experience exchange, as well as establishing conditions for deepening scientific and educational collaboration.

    The UWED Vice-Rector stated that the university is committed to strengthening ties with its Chinese partners, including the implementation of joint research projects, educational initiatives, and mobility programs. He also noted that the university will actively work on launching new initiatives aimed at expanding cooperation with Chinese educational institutions and organizations.

    The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing expressed its full support for fostering active collaboration in these areas.

    At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to intensify cooperation, develop a joint action plan, and continue efforts to strengthen educational and scientific ties between Uzbekistan and China.
