On November 29 this year, an online meeting was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy with representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov, First Vice-Rector for Youth issues and Spiritual and Educational affairs of UWED Odil Yusupjanov, deans of the faculties of International Relations and World Economy and Management, director of the Center for Language Education, head of the Department of International Relations and Marketing, as well as the faculty of the Department of Uzbek and Russian Languages.

During the conversation, the possibilities of cooperation on a wide range of issues of mutual interest were discussed. In particular, the discussion focused on establishing bilateral cooperation in the educational, scientific and cultural spheres with leading universities of Azerbaijan, providing practical assistance in organizing conferences related to the teaching of the Uzbek language in universities of Azerbaijan, improving the qualifications of the teaching and administrative staff of UWED in leading universities and research centers of Azerbaijan, as well as establishing cooperation in organizing master classes by high-ranking diplomats of the Embassy in the context of achieving the goals of sustainable development of Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations.

Following the meeting, the participants agreed on further cooperation between UWED and the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
