Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a seminar on transport corridors of Central Asia at UWED
On November 25 of this year, a master class on “Central Asian Transport Corridors” was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy for students of the Faculty of Foreign Economic Activity.
The speakers included Ulugbek Abduyaminov, Deputy Head of the Department of Cooperation with Central Asian Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mirazimbek Khamidov, First Secretary of the Department of Climate Change, Ecology, Development of Transit and Transport Potential.
They informed the students about the existing and planned corridors in our region: the corridor within the framework of the One Belt, One Road project, the Zangezur corridor and other corridors, their initiators and their potential for Uzbekistan.
According to the speaker, Uzbekistan itself should consider the possibility of becoming a transit country when developing international corridors; our location in the center of the region will increase transit opportunities, which will increase the benefits for the economy of Uzbekistan.
The diplomats conducted a very interesting master class, filled with interesting information on the topic, giving practical examples.
