On October 29 of this year, a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Uzbekistan Nico Schermers was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

During the conversation between the UWED leadership and the diplomat, the prospects for multifaceted Uzbek-Dutch relations, including science and education, were discussed. In particular, the possibility of exchanging university professors from the two countries was considered, which will allow introducing new teaching methods and improving the level of education.

The parties expressed their readiness for further dialogue and joint work on academic and research projects.

During his stay at UWED, Ambassador Nico Schermers gave a lecture on the most important issues of international relations, focusing on the point of view of the Netherlands and Europe. In conclusion, he also answered students' questions on topics of interest to them.
