    On October 28 of this year, an online meeting of representatives of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy with employees of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the UN was held.

    The event was attended by the heads of the UWED departments of civil law and international private law disciplines, international law and public law disciplines, international relations, political science, world economy, world finance and investment, as well as the head of the department of academic affairs and the dean of the faculty of International Law. On behalf of the Permanent Mission of our country to the UN, the meeting was attended by Advisor Jakhongir Irgashev and 1st Secretary Oybek Eshkobilov.

    During the discussion, the possibilities of establishing an effective partnership between UWED and UN structures, participation in the projects of this authoritative international organization of students and the university's faculty were considered. The meeting with diplomats working at the UN mission was organized as part of the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures for systemic reform of the activities of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy" dated July 23, 2022 No. PD-330 in terms of implementing cooperation with diplomatic missions of our country abroad. Also on the agenda were tasks for implementing the 17th goal of the SDG: "Strengthening the means of implementation and revitalizing the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development."

    Following the meeting, the parties identified areas of mutual cooperation, and outlined plans for further interaction.
