UWED hosted a presentation of monographs on cooperation between Central Asian countries and the European Union
On May 21 of this year, a presentation of the monographs “Central Asia and European Union: In search of Sustainability” and “How to Export to the European Market” took place at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic mission of the European Union in Uzbekistan, famous experts, faculty, and doctoral students of UWED.
First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Rector of UWED Sodyq Safoev, opening the presentation, noted that in recent years, important results have been achieved in the development of friendly and mutually beneficial relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the countries of the European Union. He emphasized that UWED is implementing several projects to study the European Union and the need to implement promising projects in the future.
Ambassador of the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan Charlotte Adrian, welcoming the participants of the event, highly appreciated the scientific research and expressed readiness to further strengthen partnerships with the university.
The speakers noted that the monograph “Central Asia and European Union: In search of Sustainability” examines issues of comparative study of the regions of Central Asia and the European Union, EU policy towards the region, the dynamics of interstate political and economic cooperation, cultural and humanitarian ties.
The monograph “How to Export to the European Market” is one of the first works in Uzbekistan, which explores current trends in the development of Uzbekistan’s exports to the European and international markets.
