    On April 24, 2025, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted an international scientific and practical conference on the topic: “Main Directions and Prospects for Ensuring The Economic Stability of New Uzbekistan in The Context of The Transformation of Global Geoeconomic Processes”.

     The conference addressed pressing issues related to the conceptual foundations of transforming the national economy to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the context of evolving global processes, as well as tackling existing challenges and leveraging opportunities within the region.

    The event was attended by prominent foreign and domestic scholars, including Academician Gulyamov S., Professor Gordana Pesakovich (USA), Professor Raviprokash Dani (USA), Professor Butikov I., Dr. Orkhan Yolchuev (Azerbaijan), Professor Mavlanov I., Ph.D. Presnyakova E. (Belarus), professor Sufyan A. (Pakistan), Professor Islamov B., Professor Talipova N., Maksudov M. (Saudi Arabia), Ph.D. Toniyants G., Ph.D. Vokhidova M., Ph.D. Kadirova Z., Gulnoza Kuldosheva,, who presented their research in the fields of economics, finance, law, sociology, and interdisciplinary applied studies.

    Representatives and experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Hydrometeorological Research Institute, and the Center for Digital Economy Research under the Ministry of Digital Technologies also participated.

    At the conference, First Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, A.A. Umarov, shared his views on the impact of global geo-economic relations on integration processes among countries. Vice-rector for Science and Innovation, Prof. G.S. Ismailova, delivered a talk on national sustainable development strategies and their importance in advancing international relations. The event was organized by the Department of International Economics of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. Within the framework of the conference, speakers explored issues such as ensuring sustainable development in the context of geo-economic transformation, current trends in international relations, the integration of the New Uzbekistan into the global economy, and the promotion of green economic growth.

    The main focus of the conference was on the following areas:

    Section 1. Factors and directions for strengthening the macroeconomic stability of New Uzbekistan in the context of global geo-economic changes;

    Section 2. The impact of digital transformation on sustainable development: social, environmental, and technological aspects;

    Section 3. Improving the investment climate: institutional reforms and mechanisms for sustainable economic growth;

    Section 4. Regional development and intersectoral cooperation: strategies for economic diversification and sustainable development;

    Section 5. International trade and regional cooperation: prospects for the geo-economic integration of New Uzbekistan.
