Starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, 7 students of UWED will participate in English language programs of Miskolc University
During his visit to Hungary, the First vice-rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED), Akram Umarov, met with Csaba Arendas, a professor at the University of Óbuda. The University of Óbuda is a key center in Hungary in the field of venture capital.
The prospects for investment cooperation were discussed at the meeting. The parties expressed their readiness to create favorable conditions for mutually beneficial partnership and intensification of research work in the field of investment and venture capital.
The key result of the negotiations was an agreement to hold a presentation at the University in the field of venture capital. The parties also agreed on the possibility of the Hungarian side investing in startup projects in Uzbekistan. These steps are aimed at strengthening partnerships and promoting the development of innovative projects in the region.
The First vice-rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Akram Umarov, also visited the University of Miskolc and held negotiations with its rector.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation and signed two partnership documents. In accordance with these agreements, exchange programs between the two universities will be launched from the 2024-2025 academic year.
As part of the agreements, seven UWED students will be able to study programs at the University of Miskolc, and Hungarian students will be able to participate in exchange programs at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
In addition, an agreement was signed on the recognition by the Hungarian university of English certificates from the UWED academic lyceum for the possible admission of its graduates. At the same time, lyceum graduates entering the University of Miskolc will be given a discount of 30% of the tuition fee.
Representatives of the University of Miskolc also shared their strategy for internationalization and increasing positions in international university rankings.
An agreement was reached to hold a seminar on improving the rating of UWED in the international arena.
