On March 26 of the this year, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy celebrated Navruz under the motto “May the world be filled with light with you, Navruz”.

The event was attended by distinguished guests, University administration, faculty members, and students of UWED.

Opening the ceremony, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, and Rector of UWED, Sodyq Safoev, congratulated the attendees on the Navruz holiday, wished everyone success, happiness, health, prosperity, and a spring mood.

Within the beautifully decorated university grounds, teachers and students from all faculties, as well as students from the Academic Lyceum of UWED, created colorful corners representing different regions of the country. Tables were set up with national dishes for tasting, including traditional sumalak and festive pilaf.

The celebration included sports competitions and a colorful concert where UWED students showcased their talents through singing, dancing, and poetry recitations.

Participants also had the opportunity to explore an exhibition of books and albums by the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the cultural legacy of Uzbekistan.
