The campaign “We are for a clean Botanical Garden!” was held
In honor of International Earth Day, UWED students participated in the action “We are for the cleanliness of the botanical garden!” in the Botanical Garden of Tashkent. Representatives of other universities and schools and concerned citizens of the city of Tashkent also took part in this action.
International Earth Day is celebrated annually around the world on April 22. The holiday was proclaimed by a resolution of the UN General Assembly in order to recall the close relationship between the Earth's ecosystems and human activities. Every year, millions of people around the world participate in events dedicated to International Earth Day. In different cities on April 22, clean-up days and tree planting are held.
According to tradition, on this day everyone can take part in the improvement and landscaping of their yards and streets. On this day, we should all realize that we must care for and preserve nature.
Participation in the campaign “We are for a clean Botanical Garden!” reminded everyone of the importance of responsible behavior towards the environment, as well as the need for joint efforts to preserve the natural wealth of our city.
Information: The Botanical Garden has more than 4,500 species of trees, flowers and other plants. There are several landscape zones here, reflecting the diversity of the flora of Central and East Asia, North America and Europe, the Caucasus, and the Far East. This is a great location for a walk with the whole family, but it is important to remember to be responsible for nature.
