On April 15, 2025, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) was visited by Suat Beylur - a representative of the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi Kazakh-Turkish University and Director of the Eurasian Research Institute (ERI).
The meeting was attended by Akram Umarov, First Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, and Durbek Amanov, Deputy Director of the Institute for Advanced International Studies (IAIS).
For reference: The Eurasian Research Institute at the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi Kazakh-Turkish University is primarily focused on creating conditions for innovative research and developing strategic recommendations on current issues concerning the Eurasian region, with particular emphasis on Turkic-speaking countries.
ERI actively organizes various academic events, including seminars, conferences, roundtables, panel discussions, and symposiums. The institute also publishes three main periodicals: the Eurasian Research Journal (quarterly), Asya-Avrupa (bi-monthly), and the E-bulletin (monthly), which covers a wide range of topics relevant to the region.
During the visit, the guest was thoroughly introduced to the activities of UWED and IAIS. In turn, the Uzbek side received information about the academic and research work of the Eurasian Research Institute. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in academic and research fields, including opportunities for participation in joint seminars, conferences, and other scholarly events.
Following the negotiations, the parties agreed on the importance of further interaction and agreed to maintain regular contacts.
