On April 8, 2025, a meeting was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) with the acting deputy executive director of the “El-Yurt Umidi” foundation, Javokhir Akhmedov.

The event was attended by Akram Umarov, First vice rector for Academic affairs, and Gulnoza Ismailova, Vice rector for Science and innovation.

During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation, including opportunities for UWED students to continue their studies at leading universities of the world, as well as the organization of internships and professional development programs for the university’s faculty members at prestigious foreign educational and research institutions. Special attention was given to supporting the academic and professional growth of young people, expanding international academic ties and strengthening cooperation between UWED and the “El-Yurt Umidi” foundation.

In addition, Javokhir Akhmedov held a meeting with the students of the university, where he made a presentation on the activities of the foundation. During the presentation, he highlighted the key areas of the organisation’s work, as well as the opportunities that the foundation offers to young people in Uzbekistan, including continuing their Master’s and Doctoral studies abroad, receiving grants and funding mechanisms for scholarship holders.

Step-by-step guidance on how to apply, prepare documents, participate in the competition and other important aspects were also explained in detail. Students showed a high level of interest in the opportunities presented, highlighting the importance of such initiatives for their academic and professional development.

The event was held in an interactive format, which enabled the participants to get detailed answers to their questions. The meeting served as a valuable platform for students to gain deeper insight into the opportunities available for studying abroad and the government-supported educational programs.
