UWED and KOICA discussed the project to create a "Smart University"

From March 24 to March 28 this year, a delegation of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) visited the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) in preparation for the implementation of the project to create a "Smart University".
During the meetings with the leadership of the UWED, deans of faculties and experts in the field of digital education, key areas of cooperation were discussed, including the digital transformation of the educational process, the development of distance learning and the introduction of innovative educational technologies.
The main goals of the project are to create a cyber university based on UWED, covering the educational process, professional development of faculty and technical specialists in accordance with Korean standards, as well as the introduction of a specialized digital platform provided by KOICA to optimize online learning.
At the final joint meeting on March 28, the KOICA delegation presented the results of an in-depth analysis of the UWED infrastructure, discussed the Project Design Matrix, its main components, budget and implementation schedule.
Following the visit, the parties agreed to sign an official Record of Discussion (RD) document in June this year.
The project to create a cyber university is part of the strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea in the field of education and is aimed at developing students' digital competencies, expanding access to educational resources and integrating advanced technologies into the educational process.
