On November 15 this year, a meeting was held between representatives of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and employees of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Sultanate of Oman.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Language Centre, Deans of the Faculties of International Relations, Economics and Management, the Heads of the Departments of Oriental Languages, International Finance and Investment. The Embassy was represented by diplomats headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary A. Hotamov.

The meeting discussed issues of establishing mutually beneficial cooperation between the faculties and departments of UWED and universities, as well as research centers of the Sultanate.

The importance of establishing partnerships in matters of exchange between professors, researchers and students of higher education institutions of the two countries was emphasized. Particular attention was paid to interaction in matters of organizing advanced training courses for teachers of Arabic, conducting joint research work to obtain grants, as well as international conferences, scientific and practical seminars and master classes.

In this regard, it was stated that, the mission will provide practical assistance in establishing direct relations between University Sultan Qaboos ben Said, Masqat University and the UWED.

The participants of the meeting highlighted the importance of the meeting and agreed to continue cooperation between the UWED and the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Oman.
