On February 18 of this year, a master class on the topic: "Creation of the Institute of Judicial Investigation in the Republic of Uzbekistan" was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy within the framework of the subject of Criminal Law. It was conducted by the judge of the Mirzo-Ulugbek District Court for Criminal Cases B. Muminov.

The master class was attended by the director of the UWED Legal Clinic Z. Ubaydullaev, the dean of the faculty of "International Law" S. Murataev, the deputy dean of the faculty F. Tashev, the teacher of criminal law D. Soliev, as well as 2nd year students of the faculty of international law.

In his speech, B. Muminov noted that large-scale work is being carried out in Uzbekistan aimed at strengthening guarantees for the protection of individual rights and freedoms in the activities of judicial and law enforcement agencies, as well as strengthening public confidence in the law enforcement system.

In this context, the speaker reported that in our country, from January 1, 2025, the position of investigative judge was added to the list of persons responsible for conducting criminal cases. The legal basis for the introduction of the new position was the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to further strengthen the guarantees of reliable protection of the rights and freedoms of the individual in the implementation of operational-search activities", adopted on June 10, 2024.

During the master class, Judge B. Muminov provided students with detailed information on the changes and additions that provide for the grounds and procedure for considering cases attributed to the powers of investigative judges.
