A meeting on the topic: “Women in the State Strategy” was held at UWED
On December 20 of this year, a round table discussion for female students entitled "Women in the State Strategy" was held in the dormitory of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
The event was organized by the UWED Women's Advisory Council (chaired by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor E. Sultanova) together with teachers of the Department of Political Science of the Faculty of International Relations A. Dzhuraeva and N. Kushaeva.
The discussion was also attended by Major Tamara Molashkhia, who supervises work among women at the Mirzo-Ulugbek District Department of Internal Affairs, and the head of the UWED Prevention Department Sh. Boymatov.
During the round table, special attention was paid to the role of the state in ensuring women's rights in Uzbekistan and the world. The speakers paid special attention to the policy pursued in our country to ensure gender equality, the development of women's socio-political activity, the creation of a legal, economic and social basis for the implementation of their constitutional rights. The achievements and unresolved problems of women in various countries of the world were discussed in detail, the interrelation of these tasks at the national and global levels was noted, based on existing international legal norms and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Of interest was the information from the representative of the Mirzo Ulugbek District Department of Internal Affairs about the need to be vigilant in order not to fall into the net of criminals involved in drug trafficking or human trafficking due to inexperience or ignorance.
A. O. Djuraeva expressed her opinion on the role of women and girls in society, achievements, as well as stereotypes and existing difficulties in the countries of Central and Northern Europe.
N.B. Kushayeva highlighted the transformational processes in Arab-Muslim countries, especially in Saudi Arabia, where significant restrictions for women previously existed. Today, women are actively gaining new rights and opportunities, participating in politics, business, startups, and making independent decisions, reflecting the state's commitment to equality and sustainable societal development.
