UWED hosted a celebration dedicated to the day of adoption of the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan
On November 14th of this year, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a ceremonial event under the slogan "Millat Bayrogi" organized jointly with the National Guard in honor of the 33rd anniversary of the adoption of the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Representatives of the University of Public Security, the National Guard, as well as students, teachers and students of the UWED Academic Lyceum were invited to the event.
Opening the event, the first vice-rector for work with youth and spiritual and educational work of UWED Odil Yusupdjanov noted that today is of particular importance for everyone.
"We solemnly celebrate the Day of adoption of the flag, which is a source of pride for our people. The flag is a symbol of sovereignty, freedom and national values of the country. It personifies the history, traditions and aspirations of our people," said O. Yusupdjanov.
In turn, Lieutenant Colonel of the Department for Educational and Ideological Work of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkatjon Abdullaev noted in his speech that the flag of our independent country is solemnly raised on national holidays and takes a worthy place at major international forums.
"The flag is a reflection of the glorious past and great future, as well as the centuries-old traditions and customs of each nation," emphasized Sh. Abdullaev.
The festive program was rich and varied. The event opened with a performance by an officer of the University of Public Security of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the song "Jadidlar" that excited all the participants. Then there was a demonstration performance by the "Honor Guard" battalion and beautiful melodies performed by the Special Model Orchestra and students of the Military Music Academic Lyceum of the National Guard.
The final chord of the concert program was a colorful performance by the student dance ensemble of the UWED "Ofarin".
At the end of the event, all the organizers and speakers were awarded certificates of honor.
