THE WORKS OF ALISHER NAVOI AND ZAHIRIDDIN MUHAMMAD BABUR THROUGH THE EYES OF A 21ST CENTURY READER

On February 12 of this year, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a student-scientific and practical conference titled “The Works of Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur Through the Eyes of 21st Century Readers.” This event was part of a month-long series of activities held under the motto "two Great Figures,” commemorating the 584th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi, as well as the 542nd anniversary of the birth of the king and poet Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.
The conference was opened with an introductory speech by G. S. Ismailova, a Vice Rector for Science and Innovation. Sh. Normatova, an associate professor of the Department of Uzbek and Russian Languages and Ph.D. in Philology, took the floor and provided valuable information about the distinctive features of Alisher Navoi’s and Babur’s works, as well as their relevance in the present day.
In fact, in February it has become a tradition to widely celebrate the birthdays of our great ancestors Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. The conference, timed to coincide with the birthdates of the two figures, was aimed at strengthening the feeling of respect and respect for classical literature among the younger generation, and in-depth study of our rich national literary and scientific heritage. UWED’s 1st-year students gave lectures on such topics as “language policy in the Timurid era”, “economic processes in the era of Navoi and Timurids”, “universal values in the works of Alisher Navoi”, “language, culture, issues of diplomatic relations in the works of Babur”, “cultural diplomacy in the era of Babur: the role of art and literature.”
The participants shared their opinions and analysis of the diplomatic activities of Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, as well as their attitude to political and social processes in their work. The event was open to the general public, and activists from local mahalla gatherings of citizens of Olmachi, Yangi Olmachi, and Elobod were invited to it.
At the end of the conference, the head of the Department of Uzbek and Russian Languages, M. Abdurrahman congratulated the students on their successful performance and solemnly presented the certificates to the speakers. It was planned to publish a collection of abstracts based on the results of the conference.
