On August 23 of this year, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and the National Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization” (TIIAME).

The document was signed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Rector of UWED Sodyq Safoyev, and Rector of TIIAME Bahodir Mirzaev.

S. Safoyev noted that cooperation between the universities opens new horizons for scientific research and educational programs. In turn, B. Mirzaev emphasized that the signing of the memorandum between the institutions is an important step towards creating a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience in various fields, particularly in the area of water diplomacy.

As part of the agreement reached, the parties are considering the issue of active cooperation in the development of a master's program in water diplomacy, which will train specialists capable of effectively solving current problems in the field of water resources management and international cooperation.

 

In addition, the Memorandum provides for the creation of a joint center for water diplomacy. The parties also agreed to support exchange programs for researchers, teachers and students.
