Students of UWED participated in a roundtable discussion organized by UzLiDeP
On January 17, 2025, a meeting titled “The Draft State Program Through the Eyes of UzLiDeP Youth” was held at the Executive Committee building of the Political Council of the Uzbekistan Liberal Democratic Party.
The event, organized in cooperation with the Political Council of O’zLiDeP, the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the “Yuksalish” Nationwide Movement’s Tashkent City Council, and the “Development Strategy” Center, brought together UzLiDeP’s volunteer youth and students from higher educational institutions,including third-year students of the International Economics and Management Faculty of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
During the dialogue, the priorities of the draft State Program for 2025, declared as the “Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy,” were discussed. Particular attention was given to the fundamentals of introducing a “green economy,” efficient use of natural resources, implementation of energy-saving technologies, and measures to support entrepreneurs in these areas. These initiatives were assessed as critical factors for ensuring the sustainable development of the national economy.
Moreover, it was emphasized that the priority directions outlined in the draft State Program for 2025 would further strengthen the focus on achieving sustainable economic development, environmental protection, and ecological stability. These directions were noted to be fully aligned with several key priorities defined in UzLiDeP’s electoral program.
The importance of the regulatory legal documents expected to be adopted under the draft State Program was also highlighted during the open dialogue. The Legislative Chamber’s role in drafting and ensuring the implementation of these documents was underlined as vital. It was noted that such legal documents serve as a fundamental legal basis for the successful implementation of socio-economic reforms.
The event also included discussions on the parameters of sustainable development and the importance of the green economy concept. Numerous proposals were put forward regarding environmental protection, ensuring ecological cleanliness, and introducing green technologies.
During the open dialogue, the opinions of UzLiDeP youth regarding the draft State Program were also heard. The youth acknowledged the party’s active participationin the development of the program and shared their suggestions and initiatives. The issues raised during the event were thoroughly analyzed, and all opinions and feedback were summarized.
This dialogue not only aimed to explain the content and essence of the State Program but also played a significant role in increasing youth participation and initiative in political processes.
