    Prospects for Cooperation with Leading U.S. Universities Discussed

    On March 6-7, 2025, as part of the annual conference of the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) in Houston, Texas, USA, representatives of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) visited Rice University and Texas A&M University.

    During the visit to Rice University, meetings were held with the leaders responsible for international cooperation, as well as with the leadership of the Baker Institute for Public Policy and the university’s Department of Economics.

    In the course of negotiations between UWED representatives and Rice University, the prospects for joint research in the field of Central Asian energy, the organization of specialist meetings, strengthening interdepartmental cooperation, and exchanging experiences in scientific research were discussed. Additionally, representatives of Rice University’s Department of Economics shared their experience in organizing Ph.D. programs.

    As a result of the visit, preliminary agreements were reached on organizing a visit by UWED representatives to Rice University and implementing student exchange programs.

    During the visit to Texas A&M University, prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed with the Associate Vice President and Senior International Officer, Holly Hudson. UWED presented detailed information about the key areas of its educational and research activities.

    As a result of the meetings, an agreement was reached to establish cooperation between UWED and leading universities in the USA, including joint research and projects, as well as the development of student and faculty mobility.
