From December 17 to 20, the Republican stage of the intellectual Olympiad "Zakovat" among students of higher educational institutions was held, in which the first place was won by the team of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

The UWED team confidently took the honorable 1st places in the games "Zakovat" and "Brain Ring", and also won a high rating in the overall team standings and received a Presidential gift in the amount of 2 billion soums.

The competitions “Zakovat”, “Brain Ring”, “Erudite Quartet”, “Personal Game” were organized in competitions with the participation of student teams from 50 leading higher educational institutions of the country.

The award ceremony was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kungirotboy Sharipov, heads of universities, teachers, students, representatives of the media and the public.

In addition to the Presidential Gift, the winners and prize winners had the opportunity to receive scholarships, internships and grants for studying abroad.

The purpose of organizing this event is to improve the knowledge, erudition, intellectual potential and level of logical thinking of talented young people in higher education institutions.
