    On December 19, 2024, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a delegation from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University, United States. The delegation was represented by Daniel Nelson, Director of Accelerated Learning and Global Engagement, Executive Education Department and Tina Nabatchi, Professor of Public Administration and International Relations, Director of the Program for the Advancement of Research on Conflict and Collaboration (PARCC), and Senior Research Fellow at the Campbell Institute and Autonomous Systems Policy.

    The UWED was represented by the First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, A. Umarov; Deputy Director of the Institute for Advanced International Studies, Sh. Akhmedov; Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Sh. Arapov; Professor of Political Science, M. Abdullaeva and representatives of the “Executive Education” faculty and International Academic Cooperation Office.

    At the beginning of the meeting, the guests were informed about UWED’s activities, existing educational and research programs, and the mission of the "Executive Education" faculty. They were also introduced to the programs and trainings implemented in collaboration with international partners.

    UWED proposed to establish regular contacts and implement projects such as student and faculty mobility, joint research programs, and involving Maxwell School professors in UWED’s educational processes.

    At the end of the meeting, the Syracuse University delegation expressed gratitude for the warm reception and highly appreciated the opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation. Both parties confirmed their intention to continue discussions on concrete steps toward future partnerships aimed at developing educational programs, research activities, and experience exchange.
