UWED held an event dedicated to the author of the national anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan, people's poet Abdulla Oripov
On December 16 of this year, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted an event dedicated to the life and work of the author of the national anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the people's poet Abdulla Oripov.
The guest of UWED was the daughter of the famous poet Shoira Oripov, who shared memories of her father, his life path and creative quest.
During the meeting, the poet's creative legacy, his invaluable contribution to Uzbek literature and culture, as well as the significance of his work for modern society were discussed.
It was especially noted that in his poems A. Oripov always sought to convey a deep love for his native land and people, respect for its ancient history and culture.
In addition, the meeting participants spoke about the significance of the anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan as a symbol of national identity, independence and unity. The lines of the anthem reflect the greatness of the country's history and the desire for new heights.
At the end of the event, Shoira Oripova presented the university library with a collection of poems written by her father.
The event, organized by the Centers of the Five Key Initiatives and Information Resources of the University, was attended by the faculty and students of UWED.
