With warmth and care: UWED visiting the Orphanage House

On December 4, 2024, at the initiative of the Department of Uzbek and Russian languages of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, a visit took place to Home for Orphans No. 30, located in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent.

University teachers and students took part in an event of kindness and support dedicated to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

The visit program included a conversation with students and competitions in chess and checkers, which aroused keen interest among the children. This intellectual leisure allowed children not only to learn new things, but also to demonstrate their abilities in a friendly atmosphere. At the end of the tournament, university teachers presented the children with memorable gifts prepared by the department staff.

Particular attention was paid to creating a warm and homely environment: drinking tea with sweets was a pleasant end to a busy day. The children were delighted not only by the treats, but also by the sincere attention of the guests, their kind words and wholehearted wishes.

The purpose of the event goes beyond one visit. University students and faculty are committed to supporting children with disabilities by helping them become self-confident, inspired, and achieve personal goals. These meetings are an important step for this school's students towards integration into a society where their abilities and contributions are valued.

The staff of the Home for Orphans sincerely thanked the organizers for the visit, emphasizing how important it is to pay attention to children in need of support. They noted that such events help children broaden their horizons, inspire them to develop, and even help them think about choosing a future profession.

The House administration expressed hope for continued cooperation with UWED, proposing to make such meetings regular. According to them, participation in the lives of university students is not just a gesture of kindness, but also a contribution to the creation of an inclusive and open society.

Visits like this not only bring joy to children, but also contribute to the development of humanistic values among young people, involving them in socially significant activities. Such projects become a bridge connecting generations and creating harmony between society and its most vulnerable members.

UWED continues to demonstrate that its mission is not only educational activities, but also active participation in public life. And it is precisely such examples that remind everyone of the importance of warmth, care and spiritual support, which make the world kinder and brighter.
