On October 30 of this year, a meeting with the attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Arab Republic of Egypt Otabek Alimov was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

The diplomat and representatives of UWED - Head of the Department of International Economics Laylo Tashpulatova and Head of the Department of Oriental Languages ​​Khakim Gafurov discussed the possibility of establishing contacts with universities in Egypt.

In particular, the importance of expanding cooperation with Cairo University was emphasized, including holding joint seminars and conferences, master classes with the participation of prominent professors of this leading university in the Arab world. Among the issues discussed was interaction in the field of language education. Interest was expressed in involving native Arabic speakers in the educational process, updating the UWED library collection with educational literature on the Arabic language and world economic issues.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to establish permanent contacts between UWED and the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Arab Republic of Egypt and to send a batch of educational literature on the Arabic language and the economy of Egypt as soon as possible.
