On November 19 this year, an online meeting was held between representatives of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan.

The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Pakistan Alisher Toktayev, as well as the First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of UWED A. Umarov, the head of the educational and methodological Department U.Dostov, Head of the Center for Language Education L.Khodjaev, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of International Relations A.Rakhmatullayev, head of the Department of International Relations I.Yakubov, Deputy Head of the Department of Political Science M.Abdullayeva and junior lecturer of the Department of International Relations A.Usmanov.

During the conversation, the possibilities of cooperation on a wide range of issues of interest to the two sides were discussed.

The First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs A. Umarov stressed the importance of expanding cooperation with universities in Pakistan, holding joint seminars and conferences, master classes with the participation of famous professors of Quaid-i-Azam University.

An important part of the meeting was the issue of cooperation in the field of language education. The involvement of Urdu-speaking specialists in the educational process was emphasized.

 The possibilities of cooperation between the analytical centers of Uzbekistan and Pakistan in conducting research on international relations, as well as the possibilities of cooperation between the Diplomatic Academy under UWED and the diplomatic academies of Pakistan were discussed.

The possibilities of student exchange between Pakistani universities and the University of World Economy and Diplomacy were also discussed. This will not only bring educational cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan to a new level, but also provide students with the opportunity to learn about each other's culture, traditions and lifestyle, as well as help them gain the necessary and relevant knowledge.

In conclusion, the participants emphasized the importance of the event and reached an agreement on further cooperation between UWED and the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Pakistan.
