On November 19th of this year, a meeting was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy with the Chargé d'Affaires of Spain in Uzbekistan, Asunción Sánchez Ruiz.

The event was attended by Akram Umarov, the First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at UWED, Gafkhar Mirhalilova, the Head of the International Department and Vasila Mamatkasimova, the Head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Languages.

During the meeting, information was provided to the foreign side about the main areas of activity and the educational process at UWED.

In turn, Asunción Sánchez Ruiz highly appreciated the cooperation between UWED and the Embassy of Spain.

UWED expressed its readiness to implement joint projects with universities in Spain as well as with research centers.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed on collaboration to involve Spanish teachers in the process of teaching the Spanish language, organizing various master classes, and expanding contacts with leading universities in Spain.
