A "Day of Environmental Awareness" was held at the UWED in the format of poster presentations in English
First-year students created posters addressing a broad spectrum of environmental issues, including air pollution, global plastic pollution, the environmental consequences of concrete construction, biodiversity loss and species extinction, and climate change driven by the greenhouse effect.
Students conducted independent research, surveys, and data analysis, visually representing their findings on the posters in English.
The event aimed to heighten public awareness of pressing environmental challenges, advocate for proactive environmental stewardship, and draw attention to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 13: Climate Action. Members of the university community and students from neighboring schools were invited to participate.
