UWED hosted an online meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United States of America, Canada and Brazil
On November 28 of this year, a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United States of America, Canada and Brazil Furkat Sidikov was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
During the meeting, First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Akram Umarov emphasized the importance of exploring and establishing mutually beneficial academic partnerships with leading US educational institutions.
In turn, F. Sidikov informed the UWED leadership about the embassy's activities in the field of education and the reforms implemented recently. In particular, during the dialogue, participants were apprised of the planned introduction of additional opportunities, including the establishment of joint degree programs and partnerships with distinguished American universities, benefiting undergraduate and graduate students. Further deliberations encompassed the potential for collaborative research projects and grant opportunities with leading higher education institutions and research organizations, as well as the facilitation of summer schools.
Ambassador Sidikov also emphasized the critical importance of instituting online training courses tailored to the development of project proposals and academic articles, ensuring alignment with globally recognized standards of excellence.
